DIAMONDS (2023)
“Diamonds” by annie kemble
I found the dynamite talent, Annie Kemle, on TikTok. I instantly fell in love with her sound, style and humor. I was shocked to find she already didn’t have a bigger following. I messaged her, sending her my work, and pleaded to direct her next video. As luck would find it, she had a new alum near the finish line and wanted to invest in a music video for her new single.
With an immense leap of faith, she sent me the unfinished album, asking for my thought on what the next single should be. I heard the firfst few measures of “DIAMONDS” and I was hooked. Two months later, we wrapped the music video.
Without sacrificing style on a microbudget, we had to get very creative with production. I called on my friend and collegue, Katherine Crump (of “ROLLING”, see below) to come help produce and shoot the video. She brought on her father, Joe Crump to gaff. The local high school sent us some of their rising stars from their film club. We filmed in my uncle’s and grandparents’ houses. I made most of the props by hand.
This video is as much a labor of love as it is beautiful. Please watch the BTS video below for more!

Why support?
“White Elephant” is a first-of-its kind thriller/comedy about two new best friends, created by two new best friends Riley Dismore & Bridget Murray. We are inspired by the true intimacy of female relationships, and to explore it on unconventional terrain in the horror/thriller genre is an especially exciting opportunity that combines both of our unique filmmaking aesthetics
We call ours a “force of nature” friendship. Reuniting after our separate moves to Los Angeles, we instantly felt a creative kinship that turned into nights full of plotting film concepts, writing and noting drafts, mapping out our futures as a filmmaking duo, and lots of Jersey Shore (an essential part of our creative process).
About the film:
Two new best friends are spending their first Christmas together...and receive an unexpected gift.
This first-of-its kind thriller/comedy turns the horror genre on its head with an alternative voice and accessible feminist message. A team of female writers, director, and cinematographer lead this production that combines the heart of holiday movies with the thrill of horror and charm of comedy.
When producer Mike Gioia approached us with the idea to create a “break-in” film, we were immediately inspired by our friendship. We knew we wanted an authentic and dynamic female relationship to be celebrated at the center of our film - which we believe adds an entirely new element the thriller genre has missed.
We want to inspire the next generation of thriller flicks. We want to see women we know on the screen, in situations so real they make us wonder “what if that happened to us?” We want to infuse real heart and humor into a genre that often gets away with lazy tropes and one-liners. Women are so much more than lazy tropes and one-liners. And we want to make something women can be proud of.
The creative team behind “White Elephant” is a predominantly femme cast & crew with a powerful mission - to produce a thrilling short film for the female gaze. We’re working with amazing women who are fresh off the sets of films that earned official selections at the 2019 Cannes International Film Festival and the 2022 Oscars Shortlist. Led by cinematographer Selena Webb, we’re creating a collaborative and comfortable environment for up-and-coming femme filmmakers on our set.
The process of creating something brand new with femme filmmakers at the helm is an absolute gift. We are so excited about the opportunity to share this triumph with you, and thank you so much for your support.
