For the “DIAMONDS” muscic video, we were lucky that Annie Kemble already had such a rich personal style. Inspired by her love of jazz, noir, and retro feminity we built a glamours world honoring Marilyn Monroe and the femme fatales that came before her.
Coming from a fine art background, I was inspired by the noir paintings of Jack Vettriano (examples below). With a budget of less that $5000, cinematographer Katherine Crump and I built a visual world of fantasy, luxury, and autonomous sex appeal.
